I was born in Darmstadt in 1965 and have been involved with photography since the beginning of 1980.
I became a professional in 1990. For many years I worked at a variety of commercial photo studios, and now I focus on nature but still doing advertising work.
I can say that I am flexible and that I work in a very precise manner, rather like a good craftsman; so I see myself more as a craftsman than an artist.
Typical "Sami pictures" are created with wide angle lenses: in other words,
"Always get up close to the motive and never put on blinders."
To produce pictures that show people the grace and dignity of our world, so that we can regain a reverence and respect for it.
